Nevermind that he was wrong, he opposed his allies!

Andrew Sullivan nominates Cory Booker for an Yglesias award. The Yglesias Award is for writers, politicians, columnists or pundits who actually criticize their own side, make enemies among political allies, and generally risk something for the sake of saying what they believe. The awar would be for this: Cory Booker (May 21): “This kind of stuff [...]

President Obama: “Im Really Proud of All of You.” – YouTube. One style thing I like about this President is how he shows up at his campaign HQ, talking to kids mostly right out of or in college and he gives them this kind of treatment and respect. The effusive gratitude is from the President [...]

“Please proceed Governor” – politely letting Romney walk the plank

This is when Romney thought he had the debate in hand: OBAMA: Secretary Clinton has done an extraordinary job. But she works for me. I’m the president and I’m always responsible, and that’s why nobody’s more interested in finding out exactly what happened than I do. The day after the attack, governor, I stood in [...]

Romney up in polls after confident shaking the etch-a-sketch

Romney’s bounce is here: Still, as I wrote yesterday, my guess is that the forecast model is still being somewhat too conservative about accounting for the change in the environment. In a good number of the polls, Mr. Romney has not only improved his own standing but also taken voters away from Mr. Obama’s column, [...]

Not a horse race, it’s a decathlon.

Before I start: I didn’t watch the debate live last night. I was out. Not out of hand, just out of the house. Watching them before this post, I can see that Romney did well in that he defended his candidacy with vigor and Obama wasn’t crisp or succinct about his successes or his plan [...]

Pardon their Interruption

I understand there may be behind the scene critiques and plaudits by foreign PM’s, Diplomats and Presidents I don’t understand or don’t hear about in every election, but I don’t really approve of any ally’s or enemy’s  foreign dignitaries to be publicly seen or perceived as picking sides in our election so I hope this is the [...]

Ann Romney: “It is time for all Americans to realize how significant this election is and how lucky we are to have someone with Mitt’s qualifications and experience and know-how to be able to have the opportunity to run this country.”

New Ann Romney messaging seems to be “Thank your lucky stars for Mitt Romney” “Stop it. This is hard. You want to try it? Get in the ring,” she said. “This is hard and, you know, it’s an important thing that we’re doing right now and it’s an important election and it is time for [...]

PA Supreme Court vacates lower court pro-voter ID ruling

While finding that Pennsylvania legislators had acted in “good faith,” the Supreme Court ruled that their “ambitious effort” to provide a new identification procedure “has by no means been seamless in light of the serious operational constraints faced by the executive branch.” source:  Pennsylvania Supreme Court Sends Voter ID Law Back To Lower Court | TPM [...]

Berks, Bucks, Cambria, Carbon, Centre, Chester, Dauphin, Elk, Erie, Lackawanna, Lehigh, Luzerne, Monroe, Montgomery, Northhampton

I left off Philadelphia and Pittsburgh (Allegheny County). These two counties will have the ground game covered.  These other counties, in the “T” so to speak are where I would guess the real anti-Obama ground game efforts will be rolled out.
